Definition: Adenoid refers to pharyngeal tonsil hypertrophy or enlargement.Problem: it obstructs the nasopharynx, making it harder to breathe via the nose. It can also induce phonation difficulty, snoring, persistent sinus infections and sleep apnea. Moreover, it can obstruct the auditory tube's pharyngeal aperture, impairing hearing, cause recurrent ear infections is occurred.
